Job Description:

This role will be hybrid, working alongside our European offices in Dublin, Belfast, London, Poland and Romania on our core products and major customer solutions. Skytek is looking for an exceptional
DevOps / Site Reliability with an understanding of best practices and how to implement them at a
business-wide level and looking for an opportunity to grow.

The professional will work as part of a small and agile team of like-minded colleagues and you will be
based around Europe. The successful candidate will be integral in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting company’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, manage, and scale AWS and Azure infrastructure (ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, AKS, etc.) using
    Terraform.
  • Automate deployments with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines preferred).
  • Monitor and maintain systems using tools like Sentry, Datadog, or similar platforms.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Secure infrastructure using IAM, encryption, backups, and compliance best practices.
  • Collaborate with developers and data teams to improve performance, deployment, and testing processes.
  • Optimize cloud cost-efficiency without compromising performance.
  • Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
  • SharePoint Administration: Configure and maintain SharePoint environments, including workflows, permissions, and security compliance.
  • Azure Administration: Manage Azure resources, optimize performance, and implement secure access controls.
  • Office 365 Administration: Administer Microsoft 365 services, manage users and licenses, and resolve issues.
  • VPN Administration: Configure secure VPN access, monitor performance, and ensure policy compliance.
  • Web Application Development: Build and maintain Blazor-based web apps with C# and
    MSSQL integration with existing development team.
  • Client Computer Management: Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot client computers to
    ensure smooth operations.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
  • Strong scripting experience in Python and Bash.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD (ideally with Bitbucket).
  • Strong grasp of cloud monitoring, alerting, and logging best practices.
  • Working knowledge of cloud security principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and calm under pressure.
  • Strong communicator and effective team collaborator.
  • Excellent command of English with exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong expertise in SharePoint Online administration.
  • Proven experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.
    Hands-on knowledge of Office 365 administration.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting VPN solutions.
  • Familiarity with C#, Blazor, and MSSQL for web application development or willingness to learn and apply these skills.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:  5 yrs Typescript/Javascript/React

Job Description:

This role will be a hybrid role, to work on our core products and major customer solutions. Skytek is looking for a front-end developer responsible for the development of modern web front-ends using the latest technologies. The developer is expected to be highly technically proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript and React Framework and has experience with porting large scale projects into modern front-end technology stacks.

The application domain will be Geospatial in nature so a strong knowledge of specialized geospatial libraries such as Leaflet will be required. Experience with working in a team with designers providing mockups with Figma is also required.

Production experience with Docker and AWS environments is an advantage.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support current web applications for key Skytek clients
  • Based on requirements implement, build and maintain web applications.
  • Collaborate with the current European development team.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum BSc in Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • 5 years’ experience in web application front-end development using Typescript/Javascript/React stack (key skill)
  • Experience in working with  REST APIs and collaborating with backend developers on API requirements and development.
  • Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL

Skytek is looking for an exceptionally strong .NET Senior Software Developer with extensive, hands-on experience in Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft ASP.NET, and Azure infrastructure, looking for an opportunity to grow.

The successful candidate will have significant production experience designing, developing, extending, and integrating SharePoint solutions, including SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and deep integration with Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and Azure services.

The professional will work as part of a small and agile team of like-minded colleagues and you will be based in Dublin, Ireland. This is a crucial and demanding technical role and exciting career progression opportunities exist for the right candidate.

Extensive production experience with SharePoint, Office 365, and Azure DevOps environments is essential for this role.

The role will also involve liaising with customer representatives for product demonstrations and ongoing requirements capture and product definition so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
